Summer 2012 ~ North America

A summer of memories....

Packed our bags and started the lengthy journey to North America on June 16th.  Our flights took us to Korea first where we spent the day sleeping in a day hotel.  It was fantastic because getting shut eye all day in an air conditioned room kept us wake for the 13 hour flight to Las Vegas switching our internal time clocks.

Landed in Las Vegas, rented a mini van and showed the kids the strip.  It was pretty cool to see Las Vegas through naive eyes.  Drove the strip, grabbed our first super expensive meal back in the norther hemisphere and continued on our road trip to Salt Lake City.

(We spent a week with our wonderful Aussie friends who moved to Salt Lake City last year.  Always amazing hosts and sore cheeks from laughing so much)

June 2012 - Boys celebrate yet again.

Life Goes On... (at a fast speed)

I am putting together some pictures so I do not get to behind with our trip back to our Mother Country. That was my first sentence of this post a few months ago...haha  Obviously I did get behind but catching up now.  

 We have had a great last few months before summer break.  It was great to head back to North America to experience nice wide highways, fun shopping and of course all our wonderful family and friends!  

... Easton turned 10 ... 

This amazing young man is now 10 years old, has the same size of feet as me now (crazy) and is really showing his talents in the Arts.  Amazing kid he is.

(Easton got a drum kit for his birthday so he can jam for us all the time and practice his skills to master his drumming)

April 2012 ~ Malaysia & Songkran ... Fun Stuff

Spring Break ~  March 31 - April 17. 2012

The third term at school is the longest and it seems to go on forever.  When the last day of term 3 comes everyone is ready for a break.  The exciting thing about school breaks around here is that it means we get to explore somewhere and experience something new.

~ The Journey Begins ~

(Since we moved here almost 2 years ago I have said it would be fun to take the local train from Chiang Mai - Bangkok.  Now bare in mind a flight between the two cities is 50 min, a train ride is about 14 hours.  Despite a bit of initial protesting by (you know who you are - papa schmu) we arrived at the train station excited for the adventure)

Happy Spring!

April is here and the kids just finished their spring break after 19 days off school.  Back to their studies the house is quiet during the day so it is time to start moving my fingers once again cross these keys.

From the beginning of the year we have had a full calendar (as always..haha.. but love it!)  Counting our blessing each and every day.

Nov 2011 ~ Lanterns & Mom's Visit

The Yee Peng Lantern Festival is one of my favorite times of year.  The peace and harmony that surrounds this event is unexplainable.  To hear the Monks all chant together and to watch rituals of this ancient practice is so beautiful.
