Oct 2013 - Christmas!

Rolling back..... :D

Home in Chiang Mai after a fun summer in Canada.  The kids are all settled in back into the swing of things at school and I was super busy looking for a house since we decided to move due to circumstances with our current landlord unfortunately.  House hunting in Chiang Mai is not fun in the best of times but really not fun when we set a quick date to be moved out by and no house secured. As always everything works out and we moved house where we are all super happy.

May - August 2013 Summer Fun!

Holy Smokes, this is going to be the mother of all blogs full of pictures, 

quick updates and more pictures :D  Since life has escaped me multiple 

times to post I have combined the last 6 months together to keep a record of 

what this wacky family has been doing.

April 2013 - Vietnam

 ~ Exploring Vietnam ~

Springbreak took us to the beautiful country of Vietnam to explore starting in the south in Ho Chi Minh, (formally known as Saigon) up country to the beach town of Nha Trang, then our favorite little hamlet, Hoi An followed by Hanoi and Halong Bay.  It was an amazing trip seeing such diversity through our travels.

The Vietnam War still has a huge unseen cloud over the country.  I found it fascinating to hear the perspective of the war from the local people, especially once they knew we were not American.  Such devastation and pain still has lasting effects on all sides from the war that ended 36 years ago.  

Exploring is an adventure for all of us.  We have many laughs, eat great and at times interesting food while cherishing our time together.  Once again I could not be more thankful for my this crazy family!

Dec. 2012 - Jan 2013... The Dam to Macau to James Bond

The Richards family left Chiang Mai and we still had a week of Christmas break left so we headed up north to Chiang Rai and Burma.

It is always fun getting out of town with our family, so many laughs and we get to check out new places.

Stayed at a unique hotel this time called the RASA, super cute place with an Indian theme.  It is now one of our new favorite little boutiques in Chiang Rai.
